In September 2008 Simon Dufton and Steve Bayley will ride their BMW F650GS motorcycles from Trentham Gardens in Stoke on Trent to the Seeway Trust children’s house in Arusha in Tanzania, a journey of more than 6000 miles, across 14 countries and a wide variety of roads from motorway to unmade dirt track in just 30 days!
With extreme regret this charity ride has had to be cancelled! This is due to a significant change in the personal circumstances of one of the two riders. Should anyone who has donated to the cause already wish to receive a refund could they please leave a message on the 'Contact Us' page.
Our plan is to donate the funds so far received to the causes we were supporting and on the basis set out on the 'Our Charities' tab of this website. We will assume that if we have not heard from people by July 31st 2008 that they are happy for us to proceed on that basis and all donations received by 'Trentham to Arusha' will be passed to the charities by August 7th 2008.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who supported us to this point. The charities we support are all fantastic institutions and we would urge people to continue to support them into the future.
